down but not out, bring on the monstah!
k quick post before church today...
i'm not going to finish that other post just yet- the whiney, i-hate-everyone rant has temporarily departed. now, the only thing on my mind is game 3. i got a text last night from a friend who was at dodger's stadium after their game 3 win and series sweep. okay, so espn picked the cubs to go all the way this year. Ummmm how bout not even past the NLDS? so whoever over at the evil 4-lettered network whose-name-shall-not-be-spoken [anymore] decided to pick the angels to come out on top here, thanks BUT NO THANKS! they did this to us during the lakers-celtics series too, now that i think about it. Well, there goes any credibility they had...
as for today's game, chances are NOBODY is picking the angels to come back from this one- but when you have FOUR, count 'em, 4, playoff series' that are ALL 2-0 must-win-situations, i mean, you're just setting the stage for a major upset, major cinderella story. the angels still have a lot of fight in them, and there's no way we could keep making the ridiculous errors we've been making when we're one of the top defensive teams in the league, so it's time for ANY crazy baseball curses or demons that are plaguing the angels to dispel.
my team's not done playing. i don't believe it and neither do they. even if the rest of the world is against us, i don't care. knowing that my team (article read via angelsbaseball.com), still knows they can come out here and take care of business, is all the insurance i need. bring on the monstah, bring on the crazy fens fans. bring on the dropkick murphys anthem, pirates of the caribbean theme songs- anything.
joe saunders has proven his ability against beckett at fenway in the past, and he'll do it again tonight. angels fans, don't give up just yet! remember, we clinched our berth WEEKS early, so we're just gettin warmed up here ;)

Plenty of good schools back in Cali. If you're so sick of seeing the famous "B" every where why not try saying this phrase to yourself a couple of hundred times or so,
"I'm goin' back to cali". And judging by your photo, it looks like it was taken in an airport- enjoy your flight back.
p.s. how'd that lakers season go for ya?

right, plenty of good schools out there, unfortunately i chose to study acoustical engineering which, as fate would have it, brought me here to Boston. thank you for reaffirming that sentiment that inspired me to start composing the post "when the going gets tough..."
and, it's not that I hate Boston, or the famous "B" (as you so uniquely phrased it), it's the handful of obnoxious people like you that make honest, good-hearted athletic competition become an expression of hatred and ignorance. i'm not sure what i said that offended you to the point that you'd like me to go back to cali so badly (did i even say that i was sick of seeing the famous "B"??), but trust me, when I go home for break in December, I will enjoy my flight, so thanks for the well-wishing.
yeah, so that lakers season didn't end so well, obviously, otherwise you wouldn't be so wittingly bringing it up. but it was still a great season for us, and we're excited for this next one. congratulations to the celtics for danny ainge setting up the biggest acquisitions for the celtics in recent years, transforming your team from zeros to heroes in less than one calendar year, pretty amazing. did you start wearing the celtics gear that you hadn't worn for years?? or maybe it was time for you to go out and get your first celtics jersey? or maybe you're one of those original, true fans that i actually do admire... chances are you're not- just based on your oh-so-sweet comment above.
thanks for reading.

oh, haha just realized you got my hatred for the 'famous "B"' by reading my profile... haha. i can understand your offense now, so i'll change my profile cuz i don't really mean that... never expected anyone to actually read my blog so i just put the first thing that came to mind as a description.
haha thanks mlb.com/blogs for making me eat my words...

Hi. I'm not an Angels fan (Yankees, sorry), but I admire your passion for your team so keep blogging! I also understand living away from your guys (I live in CA). I admit I thought the Red Sox would sweep last night, but this morning I read what Scoscia told the media yesterday before the game, "We are not losing this game!" Power of positive thinking, right? Now the question is, can they win another one at Fenway tonight?
